Joelle Atkins is a very talented D.J / producer who fell in love with electronic music like so many others on her first visit to Ibiza in 2002. Soon after this eventful trip to The White Island she enrolled on a music production course by day and tirelessly honed her mixing skills by night.

Since starting out playing all the best clubs London has to offer, Joelle has gone from strength to strength and you will now find her associated with high class venues worldwide. Her name, now synonymous with upfront House Music, Joelle can play all styles from Deep, Vocal, Tech, Progressive, funk, techno, even chill-out; she’s a crowd pleaser who is certain to rock any educated dance floor – whatever the occasion.

Over the last 2 years Joelle has held a residency at the ‘W Hotel’ in Doha and has played for numerous club nights worldwide with Ministry of Sound, seeing her travel to places such as India, Mauritius, Istanbul, Estonia and Abu Dhabi. Just recently Ministry have joined forces with Nissan to create a limited – edition version of the Nissan ‘Juke’ that comes packed with speakers and a dedicated playlist to get the party started. This ultimate collaboration has seen Joelle play high class venues and events in 2012 – including, ‘Armani Prive’ club in Dubai where she played after ‘Pete Tong’, Creamfields 2012, playing just before Mark Knight and the well-known ‘Le Mans’ 24 hour race in France. She continues to play around the world taking in China, Barbados, Turkey, Italy,

Her ability to recognise music for the right occasion is something she thrives on and takes great pride and passion over. “Every gig I play is completely different” she says “and I love that, I enjoy playing all styles of house music to help create the ultimate ‘clubbing’ or non-clubbing experience”. Her residency in Doha saw Joelle perform at the WTA Championships in the VIP area where she played chilled beats to a slightly more sophisticated crowd – so creating the perfect setting with music has become her forte. With this the skies the limit, ‘literally’ as Joelle has recently been asked to compile her sets for ‘Emirates Airlines’ on board ‘In Flight Entertainment’ – so now you can listen to her sets as you fly.Joelle is also a very talented individual outside the D.J box, where she can be found working very hard developing her production skills. Joelle made her debut production release with a remix of ‘Festcar’ by Quadrini on Influential House Recordings in 2009. This was soon followed by 2 remixes for Stripped Recordings, tipped by Sasha on Twitter as his favourite label. 2010 then saw Joelle release her own original track ‘Reflekt’ and another remix on Stripped Digital Nikko Z – Happy 80’s which was charted by one of her top 5 DJ’s Hernan Catteneo at number 4.Reflekt – Stripped Digital

Since then Joelle has been closely affiliated with another label Celestial recordings, seeing her name remix a number of their releases over the last few years. She returned to Stripped Recordings in the summer of 2013 with her single “Jammin” which again was charted and played by Hernan Cattaneo on his Resident Podcast.Jammin’ – Stripped Recordings (feat Norman H & Wez Saunders Remix)
After years of bedroom producing, (messing around) on her laptop you can now download her music on iTunes and other major online music stores. Her dedication to production actually got Joelle on the front cover of the local magazine where she lives. It is delivered to 37,000 homes in the Surrey area and she featured as the main article (Sep 2012), something only famous faces have managed to do so far, they say “one to watch” – we think so too.Joelle now wants to concentrate on her own releases for the coming years and they most certainly look positive for this girl. All this matched by a bright, enthusiastic, and friendly and outgoing personality to all she meets, makes her destined for a long career in the music industry, watch this space.
