Norman H & Minoru Hirata – “La Bufadora” gets two new reworkings, and of course, both of the highest order! Kastis Torrau & Arnas D are first up, and land us with a deep and hypnotic gem, its moody and tasty synths sounding out, while the underlying arp tinkers away, with subtle percussive fills meeting phat sub bass. Whats not to like?. Phonic Scoupe beef things right up, with its chunky beats and seriously large synths booming out and causing mayhem. Layers of melodics intersperse beautifully creating a bit of a moment!
Alex Nemec asked me to provide a one hour guest mix for his monthly Mirabilis Radio Show which aired throughout May Tunnel FM, INNERVISIONS RADIO, Golden Wings Music Radio, Tenzi FM & Proton Radio. Hopefully you’ll like the mix i’ve put together. Thanks to Alex for getting me onboard.
Rebel One return the Stripped label group, with more devastating goodness, backed by a serious remix package.
The original of ‘On My Own’ is a moody and deep affair, with its serious intentions meeting snippets of vocal and tripped out fx, all melting together nicely for some serious vibes.
dubspeeka is first up on remix duties, and beefs things right up! A serious techno workout, bringing the bassline to light and utilising the vocals to great effect, this solid slab of dancefloor just keeps on going (and going). Rounding things off nicely, we have Kastis Torrau’s remix. This rework nods to the original with its eerie edges, but phatens things up with its big bass, while and infectious arp like melody cascades along effortlessly adding depth.
The 38th in our Free Series brings you Lithuanian duo Kastis Torrau & Arnas D who teamed up to enter a Crosstown Rebels Remix competition for Ali Love’s “Emperor” track. They didn’t reach the heady heights of winning but this remix was more than worthy we think.
As May arrives so does the fourth in the series of the strippedcast. A two hour selection of music that’s been rocking my boat as off late including a couple of upcoming tracks from the labels literally hot off the press. So rather than rattle on about it we’ll let the music do the talking.
October 18, 2014 at Mediahaven, Amsterdam legendary reformed dj / production duo Deep Dish (aka Dubfire & Sharam) took centre stage at Loveland ADE for a 5 hour set. One of the biggest hits in the nine year history of Stripped Recordings to date was the Original release of Kastis Torrau & Amber Long “Menace” back in May of this year http://wp.me/pWPex-17F along with the remix from King Unique making his first appearance on the label. The track gained support from some high profile players across the board with the likes of John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Max Graham, Joyce Muniz playing and charting. Now “Menace” returns centre stage to appease those that wanted to have Instrumental Mixes of the track. Alongside the two instrumentals King Unique provides the added treat of an Accapella / DJ Tool.
