Out of their native Riga, Latvia. Taran & Lomov are Bogdan Taran and Max Lomov, the main forces behind radio production, party organizing and record label company Amber Muse Records. Working together since 2003 promoting events in their home town and and further afield.
In 2010 they launched dance specialist web-radio and news web site http://www.DanceRadio.lv sharing their passion and experience in electronic dance music with music fans.www.DanceRadio.lv on a 24/7 basis webcasts quality house and electronic tunes as well as updates on what’s news in the clubbing world (in Latvian and Russian).
On the production front they have been active since 2012 where releases included one for our sister Stripped Digital entitled “Bastia” in the summer of 2012.
Now the duo return for our Stripped Off imprint with “Mint Air EP” which is a collection of three brand new originals all with a techno / tech house vibe.
Pell & Preda deliver a genre-crossing cool vibed club gem with ‘Romper Stomper’. A bit chunky, a bit funky, a bit wonky edged, a bit feel good, a bit tripped out, and a bit of a stomper… you see what we mean? Its just one of those tracks that when you play it at the right time is going to absolutely destroy dance floors!
Rebel One return the Stripped label group, with more devastating goodness, backed by a serious remix package.
The original of ‘On My Own’ is a moody and deep affair, with its serious intentions meeting snippets of vocal and tripped out fx, all melting together nicely for some serious vibes.
dubspeeka is first up on remix duties, and beefs things right up! A serious techno workout, bringing the bassline to light and utilising the vocals to great effect, this solid slab of dancefloor just keeps on going (and going). Rounding things off nicely, we have Kastis Torrau’s remix. This rework nods to the original with its eerie edges, but phatens things up with its big bass, while and infectious arp like melody cascades along effortlessly adding depth.
Stripped Digital reaches another milestone with it’s 150th single release which comes from Frenchman Seb Dhajje and the track “Constanza” which has seen support from the likes of Sasha in its Original form. There are two remixes to accompany the original and they come via Israeli producer / dj Lonya and London based Irishman John O’Connor.
“Over the last 25 years of listening to dance music compilation CDs, the ones for me that stand out aren’t filled with hits. They are the ones where a little care and attention has been taken to the contents, where the music is the defining factor and not the headline name. Its the small details which can make or break these albums and this one has all the star qualities in spades. With the holiday season fast approaching, do yourselves and your dance music loving friends a favour and buy this album. You won’t be disappointed.” – Simon Huxable – THIS IS PROGRESSIVE (http://www.thisisprogressive.com/reviews-wehavetogoback/)
“Dibby has very intelligently planned and arranged in such a way that it gives you a fresh feel with proportionate variations within the mix which keeps you interested” – EUPHORIC MAGAZINE (INDIA) Album Of The Month
“…the labels deserve praise for it’s massive contribution and enduring hardwork & dedication towards releasing quality electronic music for nearly a decade” – Darin Epsilon – TILLATE MAGAZINE
